About Me

My photo
"You know you've been teaching for 35 years when your most reliable lesson plan starts giving you the side-eye. My trusty old textbook seems to sigh every time I open it, as if to say, 'Shakespeare again? Really? Have you seen what's happening on TikTok?' It's dawned on me that my students, God love 'em, would often rather decode the layered meaning in a viral meme than the symbolism in a sonnet. And who can blame them? So, I'm officially declaring it time to join the 21st century. I'm on a mission to prove that sentence diagramming and savage clapbacks can peacefully coexist. Let's be real—if I can't explain why a semicolon is the grammatical equivalent of a dramatic pause in a superhero movie, then what am I even doing here?"
